Sweet dish is very important in our every festival and also for sharing our happiness with other. Any social gathering or occasion is incomplete without sweet dish. Halwa or kheer as sweet dish are always a wonderful and traditional way of concluding any Indian meal. I tried this rawa halwa with a dash of pineapple. This combination gives a unique taste of fruity and the regular rawa halwa.
Ingredients
1 Cup Rawa
1 Cup small pieces pineapple fruits
1/2 cup sugar
1 Tablespoon Charoli / Chironji
1 teaspoon green cardamon powder
1 cup water
4 to 5 saffron thread
3 to 4 Tablespoon ghee
1/2 cup chopped dry fruits- almond, pistachio, cashew and kismis
Method
1. Roast rawa in pan for 1 to 2 min without ghee or oil.
2 In a separate dish, heat 1 cup water with 1/2 cup sugar to prepare sugar syrup. Once sugar has melted properly, add saffron and mix well. It will give a uniform and light syrup. If it has become too thick or viscous. put some more water. Once its ready, keep aside.
3. Now in a separate pan, heat 1 tablespoon ghee and add pineapple pieces, chiroonji and all dry fruits and mix well. Roast it for 3 to 4 min.
4. Add fired rawa in the pineapple and mix well and roast it another 2 to 3 min.
5. Now add sugar syrup in the rawa and mix well and if required add water/ milk.
6. Add 2 table spoon ghee and green cardamon powder - mix well and cook on low flame for 5 to 7 minutes. Stir intermittently.
.7. Now pineapple halwa is ready to serve.
