Kutchi Dabeli



Kutchi Dabeli is very spicy and tangy snack food of India originated in the Kutch region of Gujarat and from where it derives its name. It is also very popular in several states of India.This spicy snack is made by boiled potato and spicy masala. Putting the mixture between bun and serve with Green Coriander Chutney .



Ingredients:

5 buns mid sized
1 bowl boiled and mashed potatoes
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
1 red chili whole
1 tablespoon coriander seeds
2 clove
1 teaspoon cinnamon powder
1 tablespoon salt
2 tablespoon refined oil
4 tablespoon butter
1 chopped onion
1/2 bowl roasted peanut
4 tablespoon chopped coriander leaves
1 tablespoon ginger & garlic paste
1 small bowl mixture/ namkeen
1 small bowl pomegranate seeds
1 tablespoon date & tamarind paste

Method:

Roast red chili whole,coriander seeds, cinnamon stick, cloves and 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds in a pan for 2 minutes and grind in a blender.

Heat oil in open pan and to it add 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds, chopped onion and fry slightly for 2 minutes

Now add the above grounded powder and ginger & garlic paste, and mix well .


Add boiled potato and salt in the above masala and mix well.


Add date & tamarind paste, coriander leaves, roasted peanut and pomegranate seeds, mix well and remove from stove. This is your preparation for filling.


Cut the bun in two halves and put the fillings in the middle and roast in butter on a plain tawa.



Sprinkle namkeen sev mixture on the sides and garnish with chopped coriander leaves, onion and some pomegranate seeds.
