Mutton Keema Curry



Mutton Keema Curry is usually minced mutton made with herbs and spices. I have added pieces of mutton to add more flavors and make it a complete dish. You can make plain Mutton keema also and used that as stuffing for parathas, sandwiches etc.



Ingredients:


500 gm Mutton (cut in small pieces)
250 gm mutton keema
1 cup refined oil
4 tablespoon ghee/butter
1 small bowl tomato paste
1 small bowl chopped onion
1 tablespoon salt
1 tablespoon Turmeric Powder
1 small bowl onion paste
1 tablespoon red chili powder
1 tablespoon coriander powder
1 tablespoon cumin powder
1 tablespoon garam masala powder
1 tablespoon ginger & garlic paste
1/2 small bowl coriander leaves
1 small bowl curd
1 small bowl cream
1/2 small bowl mint leaves
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
1 teaspoon black pepper whole
2 bay leaves
2 red chili whole
2 green and black cardamom

Method

1.  Clean mutton with water and keep it aside 5 minutes to drain out excess water.

2.   Make a thick paste by mixing 1 teaspoon ginger & garlic paste, 1 teaspoon salt,1 teaspoon turmeric powder, 1 teaspoon chili powder and add this paste to mutton and mix it well and keep it aside for 1 hour to marinate.

3.  Clean keema and keep it aside for 5 to 10 min to drain out excess water

4.  Once the water is drained, add 1 teaspoon salt, turmeric powder, garam masala powder, ginger & garlic paste, coriander 1 tablespoon coriander leaves and mint leaves and mix it well and leave the keema aside for 30 to 40 minutes to marinate.

5.  Heat  refined oil in open pan.

6.  Once the oil is hot add cumin seeds,  black pepper, bay leaves, red chili whole, green & black cardamom and onions.

7.   Fry till they all become light brown in color, add tomato paste. onion paste and ginger & garlic paste and mix it well. Fry this masala for another 7 to 10 min.

8,   Add marinated Keema in it and mix it well and fry for another 10 to 12 minutes.

9.   Add marinated Mutton , cream, curd , coriander and mint leaves in it and keep it on light flame and add ghee and mix it well and let it simmer on low flame for 10 minutes.

10.  After that put the fried whole mutton  Keema masala cook in pressure cooker for 8 to 10 minutes.

11.  Now your Mutton Keema Curry is ready to serve.
