Traditional fish curry recipe from eastern parts of India. This fish masala is based on yellow mustard paste and tomato paste . This combination gives it a very different flavor and taste
Ingredients:
500 gms fish
1 bowl refined oil (sufficient amount for deep fry)
1 tbs salt
1 tbs turmeric powder
3 to 4 tbs onion Paste
1 tbs red chili Powder
1 tbs coriander powder
1 tbs garlic paste
1 small bowl tomato paste
1 tbs yellow mustard paste
1/2 spoon methi seeds
Direction:
Clean Fish with water and keep aside for 5 minutes to drain out excess water
Sprinkle fish with Turmeric powder, Salt, red chilly powder , lemon juice and Garlic paste, mix properly and leave for 10 minutes to marinate.
In
the same pan, with the oil left from
deep frying – put all the above ingredients (1/2 spoon whole Methi seed,
and mustard paste , Onion paste, tomato paste, coriander powder and garlic paste mix
properly and fry till golden brown.
Once
its become golden brown add water ( 1 and ½ cup ) keep on low flame for 5 to 8
min. Now add fried fish in the curry keep the on low flame for 10 min.
Add coriander leaves mix in the gravy.

Now your fish curry is ready for serve. You can eat this with Rice/ Plain roti / Kerela Paratha
