Bread Poha - A quick Sunday Breakfast


Sometimes on a lazy Sunday morning you are in no mood to go to kitchen, but still want something quick and tasty for breakfast. Bored with the regular bread - toast, sandwich etc? - Try out this Bread Poha. Its extremely simple, quick and really tasty. You can try this as alternative to regular evening snacks.


Ingredients: 

8 bread slice
1 chopped onion
1 chopped tomatoes
1 /2 chopped capsicum
1 teaspoon turmeric powder
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoon butter
2 tablespoon tomato sauce
1 teaspoon oregano seasoning

Method:

  1. Make small pieces of bread (each slice into 4 to 6 pieces) - not necessary to use knife etc, you can do it with hand
  2. Heat butter into an open pan (large enough to hold all bread pieces as well in next steps)
  3. Put finely copped onions, tomato, capsicum and fry till they become light brown
  4. Add spices - turmeric, chill powder, salt and keep frying till they become uniform like a paste
  5. Add bread pieces and mix properly
  6. Add tomato sauce and other seasonings and keep frying till the bread pieces become slightly crispy
  7. Eat as it is, or serve with corriander leaves, chips etc
