Sometimes on a lazy Sunday morning you are in no mood to go to kitchen, but still want something quick and tasty for breakfast. Bored with the regular bread - toast, sandwich etc? - Try out this Bread Poha. Its extremely simple, quick and really tasty. You can try this as alternative to regular evening snacks.
Ingredients:
8 bread slice
1 chopped onion
1 chopped tomatoes
1 /2 chopped capsicum
1 teaspoon turmeric powder
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoon butter
2 tablespoon tomato sauce
1 teaspoon oregano seasoning
Method:
- Make small pieces of bread (each slice into 4 to 6 pieces) - not necessary to use knife etc, you can do it with hand
- Heat butter into an open pan (large enough to hold all bread pieces as well in next steps)
- Put finely copped onions, tomato, capsicum and fry till they become light brown
- Add spices - turmeric, chill powder, salt and keep frying till they become uniform like a paste
- Add bread pieces and mix properly
- Add tomato sauce and other seasonings and keep frying till the bread pieces become slightly crispy
- Eat as it is, or serve with corriander leaves, chips etc
