Falafel is a traditional Egyptian and Middle Eastern food made of chickpeasfava beans, or both but now this dish is popular across the world. Falafel dish is very high in protein and is a perfect snack for evening tea. 

1 cup chickpeas (soak overnight in water)
1 chopped onion
2 green chili
1 tablespoon chopped ginger
1 tablespoon chopped garlic
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black salt
1 teaspoon chaat masala
1 teaspoon red chili powder
2 tablespoon chopped coriander leaves
2 tablespoon gram flour
1 tablespoon corn flour
1 teaspoon coriander seeds
1 teaspoon black pepper seeds


  • Take chickpeas in a grinder and add onion, green chili, ginger, garlic. cumin seeds, coriander leaves, salt, black salt, coriander seeds, chaat masala, red chili powder, black pepper
  • Prepare a thick paste of it

  • Add gram flour, corn flour and chaat masala in the paste and mix well. Prepare small balls of the above mixture

  • Heat oil in a pan and fry them till they turn brown in color

  •  Remove from the oil and serve hot
