Falafel is a traditional
Egyptian and Middle Eastern food made of chickpeas, fava beans,
or both but now this dish is popular across the world. Falafel dish is
very high in protein and is a perfect snack for evening tea.
Ingredients
1 cup chickpeas (soak overnight in water)
1 chopped onion
2 green chili
1 tablespoon chopped ginger
1 tablespoon chopped garlic
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black salt
1 teaspoon chaat masala
1 teaspoon red chili powder
2 tablespoon chopped coriander leaves
2 tablespoon gram flour
1 tablespoon corn flour
1 teaspoon coriander seeds
1 teaspoon black pepper seeds
Method
- Take chickpeas in a grinder and add onion, green chili, ginger, garlic. cumin seeds, coriander leaves, salt, black salt, coriander seeds, chaat masala, red chili powder, black pepper
- Prepare a thick paste of it
- Add gram flour, corn flour and chaat masala in the paste and mix well. Prepare small balls of the above mixture
- Heat oil in a pan and fry them till they turn brown in color
- Remove from the oil and serve hot
