Mutton Aloo Masala




After long I am sharing recipe of Mutton dish and I just love mutton. The dish that I made this time from mutton is Mutton Aloo Masala. I have used lot of spices and aloo in mutton to give it different taste. The spices make it little spicy in taste but I bet you can’t resist having it once you tried it. You can have Mutton Aloo Masala with boiled rice or roti. A perfect dish for a nice dinner party!



Ingredients:

500 gm Mutton
1 bowl grated potato
1 bowl refine oil
Garam masala whole- green and black cardamom, cloves, bay leaves, cinnamon, red chili
4 tablespoon ghee
1 tablespoon salt
1 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 cup card
1 bowl chopped onion
1 bowl chopped tomato
1/2 cup tomato paste
1 teaspoon red chili powder
1 teaspoon cumin powder
1 teaspoon garam masala powder
1 teaspoon coriander powder
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
2 tablespoon mustard oil
1/2 cup coriander leaves
1 tablespoon mutton masala

Method:

1.       Clean mutton with water and keep it aside for 5 minutes to drain out excess water
2.       Make a thick paste by mixing salt, turmeric powder, mustard oil, coriander powder, 1 tbs onion paste, 1 tbs tomato paste , curd and ginger & garlic paste


3.       Add this paste to mutton pieces and keep it aside for 2 hours to marinate
4.       Heat  oil pressure cooker, then add cumin seeds and garam masala whole
5.       After that add onions and roast them till they become light brown  in colour
6.       Add tomato, salt and potato in it
7.       Roast for another 7-10 minutes and then add mutton in it and mix it well  
8.       Then add red chili powder, cumin powder, garam masala, onion paste and tomato paste and mix properly
9.       Keep mutton on light flame for least 30-40 minutes
10.   After that add 3-4 tablespoon ghee and mutton masala and mix it properly
11.   Then give 3-4 visil
12.   After that keep it on low flame for another minute or two
13.   Now take out Mutton Aloo Masala in a bowl and garnish with coriander leaves
14.   Serve your Mutton Aloo Masala with rice or hot roti
