Apple Halwa

Sweet dishes are a must to have on every occasions - be it festivals or celebrating any achievement. Social gathering or occasion is incomplete without sweet dish. Halwa or kheer as sweet dish is always a wonderful and traditional way of concluding any Indian meal.

And talking about sweets, why not try a sweet dish made from fruit ! So presenting herewith a simple and quick recipe of apple halwa.


2 bowl grated apple
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup milk
1 teaspoon green cardamon powder
1/2 bowl grated khoya ( Mawa)
4 tablespoon ghee
few dry fruits - cashew, Almond and kismish. (cut in small pieces)


Heat 2 tablespoon ghee on a pan on medium flame; add grated apple and sugar together .

Roast it till sugar melts completely and apple color turns brown.

Add khoya and milk together in it and mix it well.

Keep on low flame till milk has dried and saute it and add rest of ghee, dry fruits and green cardamon powder.

After adding cardamon powder switch off the flame and cover with lid for 2 min.

Garnish with dry fruits and serve hot.
