Prawn Chili

This is the easiest way to cook spicy prawns chili and it can be done rather quickly as well. It is a delicious recipe served as side or main dish with rice or chapati.


250 Gm Prawn (peeled)
4 tbs tomato puree
1/2 chopped capsicum
2 green chili
1 chopped onion
1 tbs chopped ginger and garlic
2 tbs tomato souse
1 tbs green chili sauce
1 tbs soya sauce
1 tbs salt or according to taste
1 white egg
1 tbs cornflour powder
1 Chinese chili or Manchurian masala powder
1 tbs ginger & garlic paste
1/2 tea spoon vinegar


  1. Marinate prawns with egg, 1/2 tea spoon salt, cornflour, and ginger-garlic paste and leave for 10 min.
  2. Deep fry prawns in heated oil till golden in color.
  3. Roast chopped onions, green chili, capsicum and chopped ginger & garlic till light brown.
  4. Add tomato puree, tomato sauce, green chili sauce, salt and mix properly and cook for 2 to 3 min
  5. Add fried prawn in the roasted masala  and mix well and cook for 5 min .
  6. Add vinegar and Chinese manchurian/chili masala and 1/2 cup water. Cover with lid and keep on low flame for 5 to 7 min,
  7. Now prawn chili is ready to serve.
