Sweet and Salty Tamarind Chutney





Chutney is a perfect condiment with any Indian food or snacks. The chutney recipe that I am sharing today is of Tamarind chutney , this chutney goes well with chaat and snacks items. Try this Chutney if you are in a mood for something different. 


Ingredients:

200 gm tamarind seedless
200 gm crushed jaggery
1 small bowl mix dry fruits
1 tablespoon salt
1 teaspoon roasted red chili powder
1 tablespoon roasted cumin powder
1 tablespoon coconut powder

Direction:-

1. Keep tamarind in water for 5-6 hours, after that remove from water ans mash properly.
2. Take a pan and heat it, then put mashed tamarind in it and keep it on the light flame for 10 minutes.
3. Cook tamarind till they soften properly.
4. After that add jaggery and continue to cook.
5. Cook it further for another 10 minutes on a low flame.
6. Once the mixture slightly add all the spice powder- roasted red chilly Powder, roasted cumin powder, dry fruits,salt and coconut powder.
7. Mix everything properly and keep in on light flame and keep stirring for another 1-2 minutes and then turn off the flame.
8. Now your Tamarind chutney is ready. let it cool down and store it in airtight container of refrigerate it and use whenever you make something at home.
